618 Design makes the hero piece: the technically demanding, one-of-a-kind element that defines a project. From early design through fabrication and installation, our Brooklyn shop helps architects, landscape architects, artists, and builders solve ambitious problems in metal and mixed materials.
618 Design, LLC was founded in 2016 as a small metal shop by tradesman Ariel Derris, and has since grown into a full service design and fabrication shop that handles challenging jobs for name brand clients.
Our staff represents decades of experience in metal fabrication, as well as technical knowledge from a variety of fields: engineering, woodwork, electrical, automotive, audio/visual, rigging, acoustic design, landscaping, stagecraft, maritime, and even immersive event production.
We're part of a creatively pioneering community, and are grateful for the special individuals it brings into our shop. Our staff are encouraged to learn and evolve alongside the business.
