The Embrace
Studio Cooke John, formed-brass sculpture
The Embrace shows 618 Design's abilities with hot work, creating swooping curves to exacting specifications. There was no luck involved in forming the brass ribbons, the jigs are pieces of art in themselves. There was also artistry in imparting a directional sanded finish to a Möbius-style shape.
